Off Road: A Philosophy Adventure Experiences-2006

Learning Experiences we've got from off-road:

• Keep your emotion stable: Mengendarai suatu kendaraan emosi mesti stabil. Bayangkan jika mengendarai kendaraan di jalan umum saja dengan rintangan yang rutin yaitu kemacetan, banyak orang yang tidak sabar! Bahkan banyak prilaku yang ugal-ugalan mau menang sendiri yang sangat mebahayakan diri orang lain dan diri sendiri!  Bagaimana dengan mengendarai Jeep pada kondisi off-road? rintangan mungkin bukan kemacetan, namun tipikal jalanan (lahan) yang sangat ekstreem. Jika emosi tidak stabil, maka kerusakan terhadap mobil dan bahkan kecelakaan dapat terjadi! Dengan kondisi jalan yang berliku-liku dan bergelombang bahkan kadang curam serta basah dan bahkan tanah liat penuh dengan air (lumpur), maka segala kemungkinan bisa terjadi jika tidak dapat mengendalikan emosi didalam berkendara!

• Balancing the circumstances: Karena kondisi medan jalan dan lahan sangat bervariasi dari yang biasa saja sampai yang sangat ekstrem, maka diperlukan penyesuaian terhadap sekelilingnya didalam megendarai jeep ini untuk mencapai tujuan akhirnya. Pada saat jalan menanjak, jangan menaikkan gas terlalu tinggi, sebab jika melaju dengan cepat, kita tidak tahu dibawah tanjakan itu seperti apa? Apakah dibawah sana jalan berlumpur dan/atau tanjakkannya terlalu curam sekali? Termasuk kemiringan jalannya. Sehingga kita dan kendaraan kita tidak akan celaka! Bayangkan bagaimana jika jeep tersebut terbalik tiba-tiba?

• Keep the team work up: Di dalam off-road, kita berdua didalam kendaraan, yaitu driver dan co-driver. Philosophy yang dianut adalah "Trust your team". Bagaimana jika dengan kondisi lahan yang disebutkan diatas sementara driver dan co drivernya ribut dan berselisih pendapat? yang terjadi adalah kemungkinan besar kecelakaan dan bisa fatal!

• Focus and use the intuition when we need it: Tentunya intuisi ini dilakukan dengan pemikiran matang dan keyakinan demi mencapai tujuan keluar dari kesulitan kondisi sekelilingnya. Karena disanalah risk mitigasi benar-benar ditantang! Karena apapun keputusannya, just do it!

• Celebrate with your team: Setelah melewati masa-masa sulit, rayakanlah kebersamaan moment tersebut bersama team! Sungguh, itu akan menjadi kenagan tersendiri dan menjadi cara berpikir secara tidak sadar!

Sayang sekali gambar-gambarnya kurang bagus...sebagian besar blur...karena diambil dengan HP Nokia lama yang resolusinya belum bagus pada zamannya....:-)
